Both Beat Shazam and Don't Forget the Lyrics!
celebrate their 100th primetime episode this season.
Creating
We don't just adapt formats. We create them.
Twenty years, dozens of shows, thousands of episodes, formats airing in
more than twenty-five countries. The full catalogue is in the Vault.
What follows isn't the résumé. It's the turns: the handful of times we
did something television had never done before, three of them on the air
right now. Read them in order and you'll see one idea getting bolder
every year: take the audience off the couch and put them inside the show.

Don't Forget the Lyrics!
The original format heard around the world.
Created from scratch and sold to FOX. Adapted in more than 25 countries,
180 episodes in US syndication, and still running in France more than
7,000 episodes later. Resold to FOX in 2021 with Emmy winner Niecy Nash hosting.

Let's Ask America
The first game show where contestants competed against each other from wherever they were.
A decade before anyone had sat through a Zoom call, contestants competed
live against each other from wherever they happened to be: kitchens,
offices, one from a laboratory. Half the fun was seeing the room they were
standing in. The blueprint for everything that came after.

Beat Shazam
The first game show to put contestants up against a world-renowned app.
Not a supercomputer in a lab. Shazam was a global phenomenon with hundreds of
millions of users, so big that Apple bought it. Beat Shazam made that app the
house player and dared America to beat it. Hosted by Academy Award winner
Jamie Foxx with Corinne Foxx as DJ. Eight seasons, 100 primetime
episodes, and more than $10 million won.

Lotería Loca
The first primetime network game show built on a game Latino families have played for generations.
Lotería has been played at kitchen tables across Mexico and the United
States for more than a century. Millions of Americans already knew the
rules before they ever saw a television version. Created by Jeff Apploff
and sold to CBS, hosted by Jaime Camil, produced in partnership with
Warner Horizon Unscripted Television.

Best Guess Live
Netflix's first live, interactive mobile game show.
The whole country played the same live show at the same time, for real
money, on the device already in their hand: 190 episodes,
hosted by Howie Mandel and Hunter March.

Now
JAHM Studios Sister Venture
We put the show in your phone.
A sister venture, and the next turn: television built to be played
first. The whole story is two sections down.
Best Guess Live gave everyone in the country a chance
to be a real game show contestant.
Party Polls is the game and the app at once.
Apploff Entertainment continues to evolve. For twenty years we put
apps inside television. Now we put television inside apps.
Shows built to be played first, on the screen already in your hand.
That’s why we created JAHM Studios.
The audience doesn’t just watch the game.
They are the game.
A Sister Venture
JAHM Studios
Games with television DNA. Founded by Jeff Apploff and
Hunter March: four initials, pronounced “JAM.”
Apploff makes television; JAHM puts the
show in your phone. First title, Party Polls, is live now.
Every question is a simple yes or no, and you're guessing what the
crowd said. Don't take our word for it:
play a round.
Round 1
First: what's your answer?
Round 1
You said yes.
Now: what percentage of the crowd said yes?
That's the house saying, and we take it seriously.
Creating formats is
only half of this company. The other half is execution:
networks, production companies, and content creators bring us
their projects when they need them produced at the highest
level.
Notes on the floor — Jeff Apploff and Jamie Foxx, Beat Shazam
Every project is different, but the job is always the
same. Put it up
on its feet. Punch every hole before an audience can. Get it right
before it ever hits the stage, because the stage is where
things get expensive. Every detail counts, because on camera, every
detail shows.
We deliver more for less. Budget is always top of
mind, and we almost always come in under it. We don't just do it.
We do it big, and we do it right.
“It doesn’t happen too often anymore that you get 100
episodes. 100 episodes — that’s like 50 seasons of a
streaming show.”
We work with the best talent in the world and continually strive to
make sure they're 100% prepared and protected, every single time.

Jeff Apploff has an incredible creative mind… we shared eight
years of an incredible TV show, Beat Shazam… I cannot wait
to see where he takes us in the future. Amazing.

Producing Abroad
You can't tell where it was made.
Producing a series abroad is a different discipline from licensing an
international format. Different language, different technology, different
everything. And the finished show still has to look like it never left home.
When a production needs to land exactly right somewhere else in the
world, we get the call.
